A few years ago, my wife and I lost our 10-year-old son, Gaspard, to cancer.
The grief that follows a loss like that doesn’t really leave you — you just learn, slowly, how to move forward.
For me, that started with a simple early-morning run with a friend.
One run became many. Many became a marathon.
And over time, running became more than exercise — it became part of how I healed and found direction again.
This April, I’ll be taking on my biggest challenge yet: running the Marathon des Sables.
Seven days in the Sahara Desert.
Around 270 km.
Carrying all my own food and equipment.
One of the toughest endurance races in the world.
But this challenge isn’t only personal.
During difficult times, I learned how much the right support can change everything. That’s why I’m using this race to raise funds for Walking With The Wounded, a UK charity supporting veterans and their families as they rebuild independence, purpose, and hope after service.
Lots of encouragement (and strength) for the race!
