Why I’m Taking Part
As a Veteran, I want to give back and support fellow ex-military personnel and their families. It means a lot to me to be able to join the WWTW team for this iconic challenge.
The Marathon des Sables is legendary as the toughest ' ultra' race on earth and has been on my bucket list for a long time.
I am no stranger to physical and mental hardship. I enjoy the challenge of training for something and finally completing it.
Having completed the SAS route marches 'Long Drag' and 'Fan Dance'; Fred Whitton cycle sportive; Ascent of Mont Blanc; The 'Spaghetti Tour' and Cape Wrath Trail, I know I can complete the MdS.
The 2026 event is also the perfect challenge for me to celebrate my 60th year on the planet too !
